Chipotle sauce

With distinct chipotle pepper flavors that add a hint of spice, chipotle sauce has a rich, slightly smoky flavor. It is a great addition to dressings and goes well with wraps or burritos.

Chipotle Sauce Ingredients:

  • 150 g of Greek yogurt; thick skyr would also work well.
  • One hundred grams of your favorite mayonnaise
  • Two teaspoons of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • One large clove of garlic, approximately 7 g
  • One tablespoon of maple syrup or honey
  • One tablespoon of freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon premium olive oil, then generously sprinkled with salt and pepper

Step 1: Prepare the components

Combine all the sauce ingredients in one dish: before adding 150 g of Greek yogurt or other thick and creamy yogurt, add a generous portion of salt and freshly ground pepper, 100 g of your favorite high-quality mayonnaise, two tablespoons of mayonnaise, chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, a large peeled and squeezed a clove of garlic and spoons of liquid honey or maple syrup, olive oil and lime juice.

A good tip is to cook dried and smoked jalapeño peppers, also known as chipotle peppers, in a tasty tomato sauce containing vinegar, onion and sugar, or adobo sauce. Their flavor is rich and smoky, with well-balanced spice. I buy them online in small tins. To find them, use the following search term: chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. How to replace them? As a last option, you can also add smoked paprika powder combined with chili pepper (preferably jalapeño from a jar). This is what I didn’t do.

Step 2: Process until well combined

Combine all sauce ingredients in a blender container or use a hand-held giraffe-type blender and blend until smooth. Once the sauce is combined, taste it and season with additional sauce if necessary.

– Burgers, wraps and sandwiches.

– Grilled vegetables and meats.

– Salad dressings and salads.

– Dip for chips, nachos and vegetables.

– Pita sauce or pizza.
