Apple Cake

I have to admit that the recipe of my apple cake is the best, but I still try other recipes to see what they offer. This recipe gives a more biscuit cake and you only need two larger apples for baking.

Note – you need more baking powder than usual.

Apple cake ingredients

  • 225 g of flour
  • 3 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 225 g of fine sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 150 g of butter – melted
  • 2 medium/large apples – peeled and hollow
  • ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling

Method of preparation for apple cake

Cut the apples into thin slices and mix with ground cinnamon.

Lightly grease the deep form to a dough with a diameter of 20 cm with a detachable bottom.

Heat the oven to 160 ° C (GM3).

Melt the butter and leave to cool.

In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and sugar.

Lightly beat the eggs with the vanilla essence.

Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture.

Pour the cooled, melted butter and mix.

Spread half the dough at the bottom of the mold.

Place the apples on top, focusing mainly inside.

Apply the rest of the dough to apples, making sure the agent is covered because the mass will spill during baking.

Bake for 55 to 60 minutes.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
